How often to have a check-up
MG Dental Clinic

Why regular check-ups matter
Many problems in the mouth do not hurt at first. Decay, inflamed gums, or wear often develop quietly until they become bigger. A regular check-up makes it possible to notice them early, when treatment is usually shorter and simpler.
For most people, a check-up once or twice a year is suitable. Exactly how often depends on the condition of the teeth and gums, on habits, and on earlier treatment. Your dentist will tell you which interval suits you.
What the check-up includes
During a check-up we look at the teeth, gums, and bite, check older fillings and restorations, and recommend an X-ray if needed. If necessary, we also discuss professional cleaning.
If we notice something, we explain it in plain words and tell you what the options are. The decision on how to continue is yours. Book a check-up if you have not seen a dentist for more than a year.
